Why and how can you use data in your organisation?

Data is all around us. Where do we take notice of it? When do we collect it? And how do we make use of it? This self-directed session will give opportunities to:

● Identify the data we already have and where we use it,
● Establish where we need more data and how to gather it.
● Consider the most useful types of data for our individual circumstances.

We want you to leave this session knowing how to use data efficiently to make better decisions.

At the end of the session, participants will be able to…

  • Explain why data is important, and how it can relate to mainstreaming projects.
  • Identify what data your MO already has access to, and what data gathering opportunities are already available.
  • Select the best type of data for your individual needs and context.
  • Justify where you would like to gather additional data, and for what purpose.
