Voices of young people – Inclusive Scouting

We want to give participants the opportunity to gain a stronger understanding of the barriers to inclusion that face young people in their lives today and how in Scouting we can work to remove them. Through open discussions and case studies from young people in Scouting, we will also explore the links to mental health and why inclusion is an important factor for MOs to be working towards. MOs will be given the platform to share good practise and walk away with new ideas to support inclusion that can be embedded nationally.

At the end of the session, participants will;

  • have an understanding of current barriers facing young people today in Scouting
  • have practical ideas around supporting positive inclusion that can be taken forward to their MOs
  • understand how you can engage with and use the voices of young people in your MO to bring about change
