The menstrual cycle isn’t funny. Period.

For many millions of people around the world, having a period every month is not just an inconvenience. It can have a long-term detrimental impact on their life chances and cause serious health conditions and social exclusion.
We want everyone to feel comfortable talking about menstrual hygiene so that we can start tackling the stigma surrounding it. This is a starting point for change to ensure all our young people can achieve their full potential.

From following the self-directed learning, we hope that you will complete it feeling comfortable and confident talking about the menstrual cycle with your peers and young people in your life.
Therefore, we hope that you can join us for our live discussion around the topic to put it into practise and start talking all things menstruation/periods.

At the end of the session, participants will be able to…

  • Talk confidently about menstrual health.
  • Understand the stigma surrounding periods that exists around the world.
  • Take home activities to share with their young people about the menstrual cycle.
  • Recognise the benefits of sharing and listening to personal experiences to help break the stigma.
