Free Being Me: A world free from appearance-based anxiety

Lack of body confidence is a major issue in our society, especially for young people who face increasing body image pressures from social media, advertising, and family and friends. Join us to discover more about how we can encourage young people to stand up and challenge beauty standards in our society by identifying them, seeing what harm they cause and then tackling them.

This year, we are very excited to share that a newly updated version of the Free Being Me programme will be launched, which includes greater diversity, more discussion topics, and improved guidance for programme adaptation- including for delivery in co-educational settings.

At the end of the session, participants will be able to…

  • Identify the beauty standards that exist in your community and what harm they cause.
  • Understand the learning journey that young people follow through the Free Being Me programme.
  • Know more about Phase 3 of the Free Being Me programme and its relevance for your MO/NSO/NSA.
