Campaigning 101

Scouts and Guides are change makers in their daily lives. On individual, community or global levels we are changing lives, mind-sets and shaping policies but there is no ceiling for improvement and maximisation our impact and visibility. Campaigning, as universal tool to mobilise people for changes and actions, could be more frequently used by all of us, so session Campaigning 101 will focus on social campaigns which could strengthen scouting and guiding visibility, advocacy on local or national levels. During the session participants will be given short but concrete theoretical introduction on campaigning. Afterwards, to make a theoretical knowledge any of use participants will analyse various social campaigns carried by scout and guide organisations, other NGOs, public institutions. Finally, participants will be given space to learn how to start building their own campaign. Session is aiming to provide participants with information needed also to inspire with grass root level experience to start campaigning

Target audience: Scouts and Guides working on external relations or/and external communication. Prior experience in campaigning is not necessary but could be an advantage
